A wedding in Vietnam? Yes please! Josh and Wendy’s Naman Retreat wedding was one of those weddings I had been counting down the months till! Not only did I get to go to Vietnam, a country I feel in love with after spending a month travelling there, but I got to capture one of my best mates weddings! I grew up with Josh and have known him for 25 years so this was going to make this incredible event even more special. And memorable and magical it was!
People from all over the world flew in for this wedding, from Australia to England to Hong Kong, so it’s safe to say this wedding wasn’t just a one day event! But I’ll just enlighten you on the main event for the trip.
What can I say about Naman Retreat? If you’re looking for the perfect beachside destination for your dream wedding, Naman Retreat Vietnam is the place to be. The accomodations are stunning, the staff are incredible and the whole area is a like tropical paradise. I want to go back!
The gents were chilling in one of the groomsmen’s rooms, indulging in the plunge pool while sipping back on a few ice cold beers. Tunes were pumping and banter was flowing. It was the ideal way to kick off a wedding day.
Meanwhile the girls were a bit more sensible, enjoy a quiet glass of champagne while getting dolled up and keeping things a little more mellow than the boys. In no time at all, Wendy was looking more stunning than usual, was in her dress and ready to marry her Josh.
The ceremony was a no shoes event, with everyone tossing their shoes aside and feeling the white sands of Vietnam between their toes. Friends and family filled the beach while Josh and Wendy stood under the palm leaf arbour and said their I do’s. In true Josh and Wendy aka Wooders and Bamboo, the ceremony was full of laughs and smiles and I couldn’t of imagined a more fitting ceremony for this pair of legends.
Cut to the reception and what a reception it was. Set in a stunning traditional bamboo architectural dining area, the menu matched the setting. With a range of tasty local cuisine and cocktails that paired perfectly with every element of the day. The speeches were of course hilarious with a few touching moments but once all this was done, it was cameras down and time to party at the Bamboo Wood Festival on the beach. Where some serious beats were thrown down and cocktails and beers continued to flow and dancing kicked on into the early hours of the morning!
Josh and Wendy’s wedding at Naman Retreat Vietnam was a dream come true. What a day!
