I won’t lie, I have been waiting for these two to tie the knot and I finally got the call! Shannon told me there were having a Glendhu Station wedding in stunning Wanaka, New Zealand. So of course I was absolutely frothing from the day she told me about it, and when it finally came around, it did not disappoint!
On a beautiful sunny day (that started off rainy), surrounded by breathtaking scenery, Shannon and Corie exchanged their vows at Glendhu Station in Wanaka. The couple’s special day was a perfect mix of rustic elegance and natural beauty, and it was truly a day to remember. The wedding took place on Glendhu Station, a picturesque property located in the heart of Wanaka. The stunning landscape surrounding the venue served as a perfect backdrop for the couple’s special day, with majestic mountains, lush greenery, and a serene lake creating an idyllic setting for the ceremony and reception.
The ceremony was held in one of the most scenic locations I have ever seen, with mountains and Lake Wanaka providing a stunning backdrop. There were smiles all around, a few laughs as well and just a heck of a lot of happiness radiating from everyone and Soph from Married By Friends running the show with a ceremony that suited these guys to a tee.
After a couple of drinks and cuddles, the bridal party ducked off for some photos, and there was no issue on finding a couple of good spots for snaps. Glendhu is surrounded by mountains and no matter which was you looked, there was an amazing backdrop. They drank, laughed, squinted and were absolute legends and was a fun little session. I wasn’t done though I had to steal Corie and Shan just for a little bit longer as I couldn’t get enough of this landscape. So we drove up the road a couple of minutes and got even more photos and I wanted to keep going, but we had a timeline to stick to. I could of taken photos here for 8 hours!
The reception was held on site at Glendu Station in the old woodshed and upon entering, there was a table lined up with shots, which was an instant sign that this was going to be a party. The speeches got done and the food was coming around (and damn tasty food it was) and before we knew it, things were kicking off and the dance floor was in full swing! Some impressive moves were thrown down, even a few high kicks and some moves I don’t even know how to describe them were seen on the df. It went off and was an absolute cracker of a night! If there was no finish time, I’m pretty sure we’d still be partying now!
Shannon and Corie, you guys are amazing and thanks for letting me share in your special day in one of the most stunning places on earth! Congrats Payns!
