If you haven’t been to a Yester Grange wedding you are missing out. Not only is it located in one of my favourite parts of New South Wales (The Blue Mountains), but the backdrop is absolutely breathtaking. These two made the most of their amazing surroundings as well.
These guys wanted to keep everything super chilled, so they opted to do a first look before the ceremony. Just the two of them (and me of course hiding in the trees) seeing each other for the first time was beautiful. Christian was gobsmacked and lost for words as he saw his soon to be wife in her stunning wedding dress. After his initial shock and excitement calmed down, we went for a little wander around the grounds and got a few snaps of them before the ceremony.
As mentioned above, a Yester Grange wedding has something pretty special, a ceremony location with a backdrop that takes your breath away. A huge mountain range and canyon sits directly behind the ceremony spot where these guys tied the knot in a beautiful and very fun, light hearted ceremony.
Once some mingling and family photos were done, we got a few more shots around Yester Grange and then we braved the cold and ventured to Lincons Rock aka Flat Rock just down the road for some sunset photos. Unfortunately, there was no sun, but there were some awesome, moody grey clouds that add to drama of this spot. This spot is normally crammed with people on a Saturday afternoon, but we got lucky, we were the only ones here and we were able to take our time, take in the view and get some really stunning photos. These guys were so much fun, scrambling up and down some dirt paths to get to some of the spots. I don’t need to say much about the photos, I’ll let them do the talking.
On a high from the photos we got (even though we were all freezing) we headed back to Yester Grange for the reception which was chilled out and low key. Some funny speeches, a bit of a pumping dance floor and not to mention some incredible donuts that took some serious self-control not to eat earlier in the day when I saw them. Christian and Amelia did their wedding day just how they wanted and it couldn’t have worked out any better.
