Bendooley Estate Wedding – Lewis & Jess

Every time I have a Bendooley Estate wedding coming up I get so excited. It has to be one of the most amazing venues around. Not only are you spoilt for choice with amazing backdrops, but the food here is amazing! Now add in a loveable, awesome duo and you know that you are in for one heck of a day.

My first stop was to hang out with the girls in one of the new houses that have been recently finished. I walked in and didn’t just notice how beautiful the house was, but how chilled out everything was. Jess and squad were enjoying some bubbles, some chit chat and some sandwiches (a very important part of pre-wedding routine). Jess’ choice of dress, accessories and flowers were absolute perfection.

Over at the boys house, pretty much the same deal. The lads having a few cold beers, giving each other some crap and just having a laugh. Before we knew it, it was time to get dressed and head over to the ceremony. The guys all looked sharp in their suits, although a few minor issues with ties and flowers but overcome the hiccups and were ready to rock and roll.

The ceremony took place with a backdrop of a huge pine tree and dam, not a bad spot at all. All their nearest and dearest were there to watch them get married. The ceremony was awesome; intimate, beautiful but at the same time fun with lots of laughs. Lewis got a little roasted but it was all in good spirits and he laughed it off.

Bendooley Estate is just epic for wedding photos, scenery galore! I could spend hours shooting here as you are just spoilt for choice. We started in the fields with some beautiful long grass, headed to the dam, sat under the tree and then finished off at the incredibly ivy covered homestead. I reckon we only used about 30% of the spots, but to use all the spots on offer you’d need 3 hours!

Looking for a reception venue that’s got charm and a little different? The Berkelouw Book Barn is for you! Books line the walls, beautiful exposed beams above your head, a huge fireplace and plenty of room for cutting shapes. Lewis and Jess set it up perfectly with nice greenery on the three long tables, candle centrepieces and one of my favourite wedding bands tucked in the corner.
The speeches were great and had the perfect mix of heartfelt and humour. There were a lot of laughs and I might of spotted a tear or two. We snuck outside for sunset photos in the vineyard. Unfortunately the sun was hiding behind clouds but we still got some lovely shots.

Then the dance floor opened and it went wild. The White Tree band rocked it as always and the floor was pumping all night! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a room full of people where everyone is smiling and dancing their hearts out. Seriously this was the perfect way to end an epic wedding!

Congrats Mr & Mrs Steele, you are two absolute legends and threw one heck of a Bendooley Estate Wedding!
